God can heal every wound we have in our soul. Even if you are born-again and Jesus has healed you and cleansed you, you can still have memories to remind you about what happened. But why doesn't God take away the memories from the wounds?
Think of it as if you have a very big wound on your arm. It will take time to heal. But eventually it heals and there is a scar. The scar represents the memories. If God would remove the memories out of our minds we would not have a testimony. When we have been through something we have a testimony to show other people that have wounds too, that there is a way out! We can show them our "scar" (memories, testimonies) and tell them we have also had a wound, but now it is healed!!
If you have a wound in your soul or heart, give your pain and problems to Jesus and He will heal you! He is not unfamiliar with pain and suffering, therefore he can feel with us and help us and have compassion upon us. As long as we ask Him for help, He will help us. "For we do not have a High priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:15, 16.
I believe there is power in words that we write and speak. God himself gave us the Bible, God's love letter to us, to show us how much He loves us. Through words we can encourage or put down, speak life or death. Be blessed and read encouragement, correction and word that has power!

"For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even the to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
Jeremia 23:29
"Is not my word like a fire?", says the Lord. "And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?"

Suffering and deliverance (Pain and promise)
Focus on the promise God gave you and not on the pain you are going through.
Jesus suffered on the cross but God delivered and glorified Him at the end of the suffering. So believe that the suffering will end sooner or later. Focus on Him and His promise and He will bring you through the suffering and deliver you. Through this He will glorify Himself through you. There must be pain in order for you to be delivered or give birth to something. But the pain, the birthpangs, will end as soon as you have given birth. Endurance and travailing in prayer will give birth sooner or later. Remember that when women give birth, the pain is long and hard to go through, but when the baby is born, that pain is over and the "promise" has arrived.
"For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation prefect through sufferings."
Hebrews 2:10
"When He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear, though he was a son, yet he learned obedience by the things which he suffered."
Hebrews 5:7-9
"For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may recieve the promise."
Hebrews 10:36
"Therefore, we also since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily ensnares us and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
